What inspired you to start this organization?
What especially brings me to start this orphanage, is that here in Uganda there are a lot of kids suffering a lot because of poverty and deadly diseases like AIDS and Malaria which kills parents when the children are still young. This leads to a large number of children suffering and ending them on the streets. I started this orphanage to bring hope to kids of Uganda .
I also have grown up with my grandmother and therefore without a mother and father, so I know what we call suffering when you are still young. I have hope that these orphans, after getting education. they get out of poverty and also starting helping others. Here at the orphanage I want each child to get a chance of going to school.
Can you describe a specific success story that exemplifies the impact on orphans or homeless mothers?
Orphans are now getting an education on the side of those in lower classes and upper classes.
What do I envision for the future of this organization?
I envision a skills center where our mothers and kids learn hairdressing, computer, trailing, building houses, driving and other basic life skills. In this way, I believe that they can enter out of poverty and into the workforce in the community.
